Build 7: Install the DVD /CD-ROM
We are really closing in: You have to install the DVD /CD-ROM, and that's about it!
When installing CD/DVD rom drives, it is usually easier to drape the ATA cable and sound cable through the front of the case. This way you don’t have to fight your hands through the mess of cables inside the chassis.
Sliding the CD/DVD through the front of the chassis is a snap.
Remember, cable and power connections are similar to installing the Hard Drive in the previous Build article.
And since we decided that both devices should be MASTERs on each their channel, we're also better off than with an off-the shelf model, right?
And you thought you couldn't do this?
But that was before you signed up here, with the Silver Citizen Senior with an attitude!
Only a one small, simple step remain:

Remember: You must connect the cable from your sound card to your CD unit in order to get sound!
This is definitely the most fun part of our whole project:
We’re finished!!!
All we need to do now is to put our case/chassis together.
And then we'll touch up on a few small uncovered trivias in the next Build article. So trivial, I wrote them most for fun, actually...
