Build2: Installing the Computer Memory
Now is the time for installing the computer memory: In the previous Build, we got the important motherboard in place.
Remember the all-important wrist strap!
Now it’s time to install our memory. Notice the slots marking the memory. Line the slots on the memory with the slots on the motherboard.
Push the memory into the slot. When you insert the memory you should hear a little “click”. This is the sound of the retainer clip snapping into place.
Make sure you press end of the memory into place firmly. And double check the retainer clips to verify they have locked the memory in place.
Repeat the process using the next slot if you have more than one memory card.
We're through with installing the computer memory: Your computer is now able to remember (as long as it has power on, that is).
